I've been at this for a while. I've picked up a number of skills and interests along the way that have helped me craft my work, first as print designer, and now, (my enduring passion for the last 15 years) as a web and web app designer.

Putting these skills to use for non-profits – a museum and a university (where I also taught design as a full faculty member), public television and other clients who are committed to doing good – has been extremely satisfying and engaging. I've also had the good fortune to be involved with some uniquely wonderful projects like developing one of the most-used university textbooks on typography, in collaboration with some of my graduate school teachers and life-long mentors (thank you Phil Meggs).

Influences on my work include artists, writers, designers, web designers, thinkers, cinematographers, photographers,and storytellers.
